Verdict

GOING FOR BROKE is giving away lumps of weight but Rebecca Curtis’ dual hurdles winner possibly represents slightly better class than his four rivals. He’ll have had plenty of schooling and can make a winning start over the larger obstacles. Calling Des Blins was largely disappointing over timber and is best watched while Third Act has already run seven times over fences without pulling up any trees. Rakaia Rosa has had her limitations exposed since winning a three-runner race at Towcester but Clo Sacre is respected given connections and has been placed in a point-to-point.
