Verdict

O’Faolains Lad was well ahead of disappointing favourite Investment Manager when runner-up over track and trip last month and that pair meet on the same terms. The former is better off at the weights than when only third behind Easkey Lad at Ffos Las in the spring but does have 19 lengths to find. Hunting Percival was having only a second run over the larger obstacles when second at Stratford a couple of weeks ago but MANINTHESHADOWS is equally unexposed as Jonjo O’Neill’s charge was having only his third chase start when a staying-on second at Worcester and seems certain to enjoy this step up in distance. Jony Max is still 8lb higher than his last winning mark but looks the pick of his yard’s three entries.
