Verdict

Dorking Boy was far too keen when favourite at Ludlow in February having finished tailed off when making his debut in smart company at Chepstow earlier. He still has a bit to prove and is take on here with ILLUSTRISSIME. Dan Skelton’s charge has the more recent form and looks the pick of the three carrying penalties, despite an unexpected reverse at Bangor last time. Highly Prized hasn’t raced since third of four at Kempton in April but is rated 5lb superior to Jacamar. This may be on the short side for hurdling newcomer Guns of Leros but he’s worth a market check.
