In depth
Verdict
Alabama Twist looks the pick of a modest bunch here, Golden Asha and Special Gold should be the main rivals. The Willie Haggas trained colt has shown plenty of promise in two outings this season, the most recent a close up fifth behind Vanadium. The form was given a major boost when that winner landed a competitive handicap on Monday, so Alabama Twist does seem to be the obvious choice. Special Gold makes a quick return to they track having gone close against much higher rated opponents, he looks certain to be involved in the finish. Meanwhile Golden Asha has strong claims on her running behind the smart Juantorena in September. Thornber Court and Smokey The Bandit have shown enough to warrant a mention, but Alabama Twist's form does appear to be the best on show and he looks the one to be on.
