      Verdict

      Only eight runners but they all can be given some sort of chance, and it's with not too much confidence that Dmitri is selected to deprive Sheriff's Deputy and Dubai Dreams. Michael Bell's topweight tends to throw in the odd stinker, but on a going day he is very capable and has earned his number one spot in the handicap. Pick of this season's efforts was a runners up berth behind Mister Arjay in a valuable handicap at York, and a repeat of that showing would be more than adequate to take this event. Sheriff's Deputy finally got his head in front at Warwick back on the eighth of September, and wasn't disgraced at the same track next time, when not beaten far in a competitive handicap. Meanwhile Dubai Dreams takes a step down in class and must come into the equation. Redspin has the assistance of in form Frankie Dettori and is another to consider, but after much deliberation Dmitri is chosen to shoot down Sheriff's Deputy, with Dubai Dreams and Redspin also in the mix.
