      Verdict

      STRAW HAT was only fourth here recently but seven lengths clear of the rest and the Haggas filly should be in the firing-line with any further progress. Today’s opposition has yet to threaten but Idyllic and Vermeulen should do better with the former stepping up in trip for this and the latter expected to improve with last month’s reappearance at Windsor under his belt. Macksville is related to a dual winner on the all-weather and will not have to be anything special to get involved on his debut.
