Verdict

Star Maker was fourth over course and distance on his second outing and looks the type to improve further with experience - he's preferred to stablemate Arborist. There was some promise in Never Surrender's debut at Newbury while Richard Hannon won this last year so newcomer Auric Goldfinger warrants respect. Ralph Beckett's string is flying and DANCE TEACHER is one of only two runners for the yard here today. A half-brother to useful handicapper George Cinq, who was second over this trip at Thirsk on Saturday, he's taken to make a winning start.
