This is possibly the toughest race on the card to assess and so Dove Cottage is just a sporting selection, with Brace Of Doves and Limit just two of many dangers. The selection landed a relatively weak nursery at Chepstow last August off a mark of 60. Having risen in the weights he struggled for a couple of runs, before finishing an excellent fourth in a better race than this at Goodwood. If fit for his seasonal debut he should be capable of going close. Limit showed plenty of promise on the turf before comfortably landing a Wolverhampton maiden in November. He could be on a decent mark here and looks a big danger to all. Meanwhile Brace Of Doves returned to the turf in good style, chasing home Hamaasy in a Musselburgh maiden last month. Others to note are Birthday Star and E Bride, but for the winner we will speculate with Dove Cottage.
