Verdict
Enlightening and LOWAWATHA look set to dominate this maiden with marginal preference for the latter. Ralph Beckett's charge's sole disappointing run to date came on soft ground which has to be a concern but he is related to horses who act under these conditions and perhaps it was more down to the seventh furlong. Both runs over this distance of six have been promising indeed and a rating of 82 suggests he should prove too good for Enlightening. Richard Hannon's horse could be hard to pass if asked to make the running as he did at Newbury but he has a pedigree that suggests quicker ground may suit and BHA ratings have him some way short of Lowawatha so he may once again have to make do with second. Of the rest Lion Court shaped with promise on debut but is bred to do better over a mile while West Leake Bridge looks short of the class required.
