Verdict

AUDACIOUS ran with great credit in as strong a back-end maiden as you're likely to find last time and can make the most of this relative drop in grade. Sir Michael Stoute's son of Derby winner Motivator wasn't given a hard time close home in that Doncaster contest having previously finished down the field in a race that's produced plenty of winners and with ground conditions likely to suit he's going to take some stopping. Halfsin seemed to find a little improvement between his first two starts and a continuation of that progression will see him close although with some well-bred newcomers on display here he'll need to do that. Pick of those may be Greyfriars Drummer, who is a half-brother to the smart Lovelace, ahead of Glencadam Gold, while Henry Cecil is double-handed thanks to Specific Gravity and along with Makyaal he too needs considering.
