In depth
Verdict
A very interesting opener with John and Thady Gosden doubly represented. Daddy Frank is having a first run on Turf after seconds on the Polytrack and Tapeta but Ebnzaidoon has form on the surface having finished third at Sandown on debut. The latter wears his owner’s first colours but Mashhoor is also respected having shown promise at Newbury last August. Sheikh Mohammed Obaid Al Maktoum also has two runners with DUBAWI SANDS preferred to Lingfield runner-up Diamond Of Dubai. A $260,000 yearling, the Dubawi colt was given a very gentle introduction at Newmarket last year and should do much better with another winter under his belt. Roger Charlton’s duo Boltaway and Amalfi Bay should also be capable of better.
