Verdict
Astro King has won on Tapeta and Polytrack but failed to land the odds on his only previous try on Turf so does have questions to answer. A winner over this trip on similar going at Doncaster and Newmarket last summer, NUGGET may be capable of further improvement this season so gets the nod ahead of Turn On The Charm, who failed to handle a 6lb rise at Redcar in the autumn after winning earlier over this course and distance. Ayr Harbour is 0-5 on Turf and the seven-year-old Kryptos could struggle to cope with younger rivals but Finest Sound won first-time up last year so can’t be discounted.
