      Verdict

Aweedram has been staying on in both starts and not beaten far so looks certain to give another good account. Palladium has a very stout pedigree and was staying on strongly over 1m1f on soft ground at Goodwood. SURFMAN, from a stable in superb form, didn’t get the run of the race when a close third here last month and, with normal progress, will take some beating. He has the beating of Rhythmic Intent on that run though there are some well-connected newcomers to note. Beguile is a daughter of Pivotal out of a mare from a smart family while Funny Man is a half-brother to a winning miler and should have made his debut a week ago but was withdrawn after becoming unruly at the start.
