In depth

Verdict

Last Empire is the highest rated but is conceding weight to younger horses on her reappearance including CHOCOYA (NAP). Hugo Palmer’s filly was beaten only a neck in Listed company at Chelmsford last week and can go one better in this. Rosie Powers has plenty to find with the selection while Mountain Brave is upped in class after landing a handicap at Doncaster. Ventura Diamond recorded last year’s double on heavy going and the returning Light Refrain is preferred on her second at York in October.
