        Verdict

        Several have decent clams in this opener including Alfred Boucher and Mohaather, who both finished runner-up in separate divisions of the same maiden race at Newbury last month. The former was beaten less than a length and may prove best of that pair but SWINDLER has gone close in both starts now and, after finding only one too good at Yarmouth last time, Ed Walker’s colt gets the vote. Midnight In Havana may well improve on last month’s debut fifth at Beverley and Aluqair is a newcomer to note.
