Drummond and Brailsford are likely improvers this season and Dettori rides the latter in preference to Paladin. Al Jabreiah won a small race at Brighton in the autumn, though will need more here on her handicap debut, while Elegant Flight may need this after a break. The Giving Tree won a nursery over C&D in October and is interesting, however, though has to give 6lb to FREDERICKTHEGREAT. The latter was tapped for toe when made favourite for a handicap at Wolverhampton in November so may well be suited by this easier surface and Darryll Holland boasts a decent strike rate when riding for Hughie Morrison this year.
