Nonrunner

In depth

Verdict

Raccoon should be capable of continuing the winning thread at the expense of Brunelleschi and Scuba. Peter Savill's charge does not look to be losing his ability in advancing years and confirmed his well-being with a recent success over No Time at Catterick. He can handle cut in the ground but connections will probably be keen for the rain to stay away. Brunelleschi has to reverse form on a recent Nottingham meeting. He showed improved form for first time blinkers so it remains to be seen if the trick works twice. Scuba would not be out of this on some of his better formlines. Hugh Morrison's horses have shown improved form for their racing and this is not a race strong on formbook horses. Briery Lane always threatens to win races but is becoming frustrating. Front-running Kennington is on a losing run but is noted in the event of market support. Ceredig searches for his illusive first win but has gone relatively well for William Carson in the past. Not a spectacular by any stretch of the imagination and Raccoon can continue his good run here.
