    Verdict

It's almost a year since FLIGHT OFFICER (NAP) made his debut in a Newbury maiden won by Strait Run. But he was possibly an unlucky loser that day and, as fitness is rarely an issue for one from his yard, he can gain belated compensation today. Dalmatia has the best recent form with a third at Kempton but all of her runs have been on either fast ground or the Polytrack. Jacqueline Jouliac has more scope but has her first run on Turf while Peril was a bit disappointing when only sixth at Lingfield last month. Almuhalab has finished second twice in a row but has not really threatened the winner whereas Golden Emerald caught the eye when fourth at Windsor in August but was beaten a long way on heavy going at Windsor on Monday.
