Big Bound is bound to be popular with backers after an encouraging start to his career when finding just Imposing half-a-length too good in a Haydock maiden but there is no guarantee that John Gosden's colt will appreciate any further softening of the ground so it may be worth taking a chance with one of the newcomers with EBIAYN getting the verdict ahead of Battle Hero. The last mentioned is by Red Ransom so may not mind the ground if it eases further under the forecast rain but Sir Michael Stoute's juveniles normally improve with racing so he may be best left out of calculations. Mark Johnston's two-year-olds similarly tend to step up from their form shown on their first outing to their second so Neuchatel may do better than at Great Leighs first time out, while Bryan Smart's Rogalt is nicely bred but would probably not want any further softening of the ground. A market move for Bryan Smart's son of Giant's Causeway, Wee Giant would be of interest but preference is for Ebiayn. Michael Jarvis has his team in fine form right now and this son of Monsun makes plenty of appeal on pedigree for his first start on the racecourse.
