    Verdict

AINSDALE has a 6lb penalty to contend with for an easy victory on soft ground at York but looks capable of going even higher in the ratings. Ventura Flame has won twice, both on heavy going, so a 3lb rise for her Hamilton victory shouldn't prevent a big run but Sermon hasn't really showed much improvement from his mid-summer form. Tom Tulliver gained his only victory on soft ground but is looking a bit high in the weights while Go Well Spicy hasn't made the expected progress from his double in June.
