          Verdict

          Scuzme, Franky'n'Johnny, and Crush On You are the three for the shortlist, and Scuzme is taken to defy a penalty. Still a maiden in ten starts on Turf, Franky'n'Johnny has been running well on the all-weather recently without getting his head in front. He ran well for a long way before tiring at Ripon last time and this shorter trip and lesser company will appeal. Crush On You is no stranger to this grade and was a Southwell winner recently. Her recent performance on Turf, when finishing a close fourth at Warwick, belied her big starting price and she can go well again. Having run well to be fourth in handicap company at Yarmouth, Scuzme made no mistake in selling grade at Hamilton last time. This looks a similar contest and Scuzme can defy a penalty.
