      Verdict

      ONEMIX can fend off the challenges of Polly's Mark and Act Green in this fillies' only handicap. Act Green, who also holds an entry at Sandown later in the week, won at Great Leighs when she was last seen out - creating the impression she is capable of more progress. She is bred to cope with 10 furlongs, so has to be a player in this company. Polly's Mark missed an engagement due to unsuitably fast ground at Salisbury last week but is obviously ready for a run. She is a consistent type and, as Aqwaal boosted her Sandown form at the weekend, this daughter of Mark Of Esteem will be a big threat this afternoon. However, Onemix is equally on the upgrade and, as she certainly knows how to keep her head in front when it really matters, we take Barry Hills' filly to come on top if this boils down to a scrap for the line.
