Verdict
Hogmaneigh gets the vote here ahead of Ryedale Ovation and Ooh Aah Camara. Lightly raced and fairly unexposed, Hogmaneigh, a good to soft winner on his racecourse debut, is a sporting vote in this tight handicap. Ryedale Ovation's form is solid enough and, proven on the going, he should be seriously considered. Ooh Aah Camara bounced back to form at Chester last time and is respected, although Calypso King was unlucky in running behind her there and it would be no surprise to see the placings reversed today, although he is unproven on the going. A decent juvenile, Puskas is at least dropping in the weights now, but Phantom Whisper looks all speed and may not get home, while the others have going concerns. All of which returns us to the selection, Hogmaneigh.
