Verdict

West End Lad has proved a real old favourite around Colwick Park and Roy Brotherton's nine-year-old looks set to give another bold account, but with a number of progressive sorts in opposition, we'll look elsewhere. HENRY ALLINGHAM went into many notebooks when second to Poole Harbour in a maiden at Kempton, and Roger Varian's gelding went on to oblige at Folkestone before losing little caste in defeat to a much more experienced rival at Epsom. Compensation awaits. Handicap debutant Moodhill looks to be a likely pace angle having had plenty of use made of him in the past, whilst Stella Express is a three times C&D winner though none of those victories were recorded on going as testing as this. Anton Chigurh attempts to defy the 6lb penalty that he accrued for a recent Doncaster success.
