        Verdict

        A wide open handicap rounds off the card and many can be given chances on their best form but the principals look to be Mobane Flyer, Spirit's Awakening, Princess Galadriel, Band, and Didn't Tell My Wife and the tentative vote goes to Spirit's Awakening. The selection won well last time when defeating Dont Call Me Derek that form looks rocks solid in the context of this race and despite rising in the weights he is taken to score. Mobane Flyer rates the main danger on his latest third behind Newcorp Lad. He runs off the same mark here and will not be far away. Princess Galadriel is another worthy of respect on her latest third behind Pella but that form has since been let down and for that reason she is passed over on this occasion. Band was a staying on seventh behind Otago last time and is another with place claims. Of the remainder Didn't Tell My Wife was badly hampered last time and that run is best forgotten but she remains well weighted and could go well at a price but for the winner we return to Spirit's Awakening.
