Nonrunner

In depth

Verdict

A Mothers Love is taken to follow up at the expense of Regal Ovation, Skye But N Ben and Ski For Luck to name but a few. Although 16-runners have been declared to run, not that many can be given a leading chance, so it may pay to side with the proven recent winning form of A Mothers Love. Granted, she did not beat much when getting up close home to score at Southwell last time, but Phil McBride's filly does not look overburdened as a result, and a similar effort may be enough. Regal Ovation rounded off last year with a good effort over the course-and-distance, making most until headed inside the final furlong, and if fit after a break, should be prominent. Skye But N Ben has been knocking at the door on the all-weather, and Ski For Luck could be a typical John Dunlop improver in his second season. It is not a race to dwell on though, with preference for A Mothers Love.
