Verdict

Redbrick Girl is taken to come on for her debut and can take this claimer at the main expense of Splitthedifference, Portway Lane and newcomer Echostar. The selection made a pleasing enough debut on the all-weather earlier in the month when just weakening late-on. She is obviously no stable star but she is bred for speed and she can put her experience to good use today. Splitthedifference ran green on debut behind the well-regarded Fat Boy and should have come on for that run. There is potential there and connections will be disappointed if he doesn't go close today. Portway Lane stepped up on her debut when second in a seller at Bath and whilst that form looks nothing special, she is entitled to come on again for that run. Echostar was a cheap purchase but has claims in this race although she may prefer an extra furlong, so we will return to the profitable partnership of Kevin Ryan and Neil Callan to boot Redbrick Girl home.
