Verdict
Rapsgate has been running with credit on the sand this winter and returns to turf on a fair mark but there was plenty to like about the way that Devine Dancer won her Lingfield maiden and she is preferred with Quadrophenia rated the best of the rest. The selection makes her handicap debut on a fair mark judged by that improved display at Lingfield and Henry Candy's filly looks the one they all have to beat on that evidence. John Quinn's Fayr Sky would have claims on the pick of her form but lacks a recent run, while Toy Top has been given no help from the handicapper and may now have too much weight for what she has achieved. The Ron Hodges-trained In Fashion looks to be going the right way and has to be considered although a bigger threat seems likely to come from the lightly raced Quadrophenia, especially if any rain arrives. Devine Dancer has solid claims on Lingfield form though and is taken to make a winning start on turf.
