VERANDAH gets another chance having failed to land the odds on her reappearance at Wolverhampton. A tongue-tie is applied today as she goes handicapping for the first time along with Rasima and the unbeaten Caiya. The former was narrowly beaten over 7f on the all-weather on her reappearance while the latter defied a penalty to land a novices event at Windsor last month and is preferred to recent handicap winner Arabian Jazz. Daddies Girl has been keeping better company than Fabulous Red and the Wolverhampton runner-up Line House and could also go well.

Verandah 8-11fav (9-4) Hampered start, soon led, hung badly right from over 1f out, headed and no extra inside final furlong, 5th of 6, 1 1/2l behind Adjutant (9-9) at Wolverhampton 1m 1f stks (6) pol in May.

Daddies Girl (IRE) 25-1 (8-4) Behind and remained in main group, pushed along and outpaced 3f out, some late minor headway, never on terms, 5th of 9, 8 1/4l behind Urban Fox (9-10) at Ascot 1m hcp fll (2) gf in May.

Caiya 7-2 (9-4) Always prominent, ridden inside final furlong, ran on, edged left, led close home, won at Windsor 1m stks (5) gd in Apr beating Ghalia Al Thumama (8-11) by nk, 13 ran.

Fabulous Red 9-1 (9-3) Broke well, gradually restrained and held up, headway over 2f out, kept on well closing stages, never able to challenge, 4th of 8, 5 1/2l behind Stream Song (9-6) at Windsor 1m 2f hcp fll (4) gd in Apr.

Line House 14-1 (8-12) Towards rear, pushed along over 3f out, headway over 2f out, ridden inside final furlong, kept on towards rear, 2nd of 5, 1/2l behind Tivoli (9-7) at Wolverhampton 7f hcp fll (4) pol in Apr.
