Verdict

Dubai Mirage placed at Meydan back in February and is preferred to stablemate Dubai Icon. The latter made the frame at Chelmsford when last in a handicap, however, while Austrian Theory makes his handicap debut having struggled in Listed races so far this year. Caradoc hasn’t won for some time now and a recent second at Goodwood came over a longer trip but DARK SHIFT (NAP) will be sharper for a comeback run in the Victoria Cup when finishing ahead of Baldomero. Charlie Hills’ grey completed a double at the latter track last autumn and this return to a mile will suit.
