Verdict
A tricky fillies contest that may fall to Amica, with Sam's Secret, Spree and Island Swing all capable of getting into the action. Gary Moore's daughter of Averti followed up two promising efforts in August with an impressive victory at Epsom earlier this month. The runner up has subsequently landed a maiden at Ayr, so the form has been well advertised. Island Swing won a couple of sellers in June and hasn't been disgraced in better company since. Meanwhile Sam's Secret has shown promise in maidens at Pontefract and York and is open to any amount of improvement. The biggest threat to the selection though could be Richard Hannon's Spree. She was an easy winner of her maiden, before being outclassed in Group company at Royal Ascot and Goodwood, today's opposition will be less taxing. So a cracking juvenile event and Amica looks the one to be on.
