      Verdict

DOUBLE UP (NAP) overcame a slow start on his first start since August to win easily at Newmarket. Roger Varian's charge has obviously improved and may well shrug off a 10lb rise in the weights to go in again. Rusty Rocket, Powerful Wind and Harrogate Fair have all won Class 5 events during this month but will find this tougher, though Judge 'n Jury is still capable in this grade and won a conditions race over track and trip last year. Borderlescott is another veteran likely to figure, though he hasn't won since 2012, while Blithe Spirit usually saves her best for Chester.
