In depth

Verdict

THE REVENANT has won the last two renewals and went on to land the QE11 at Ascot after last year’s success. He goes well fresh and Francis Graffard’s charge looks the one to beat. Frankie partners recent Strensall Stakes winner at York, Real World, though soft going is a worry for him while Godolphin are also represented by Prix du Moulin third Victor Ludorum, who finished in front of the German raider Novemba on that occasion. French 1000 Guineas winner Coeursamba is preferred to Ecrivain though Dilawar continued his steady progress with a Group 3 success at Deauville last time and could figure. Both Century Dream and Stormy Antarctic look up against it in this company.
