In depth

Verdict

Andre Fabre’s Plumatic has already beaten Oh This Is Us and stablemate Graphite this year and took a further step forward with a close-up fourth in the Group 1 Prix du Moulin last month. But better value may be found elsewhere and a chance is taken on HEY GAMAN. Beaten in Group 1 events in France the last twice, James Tate will be hoping his colt can reproduce an earlier second in the French 2000 Guineas back over this course and distance and he may well do so with the going likely to suit. Addeybb won a Group 2 contest at Sandown back in April but hasn’t raced since disappointing in the Lockinge while Ostillo is a smart handicapper but came up short in a Group 3 at Goodwood in August though still finished in front of subsequent winner Glorious Journey.
