In depth

Verdict

The admirably tough veteran Kasbah Bliss finally landed the Prix Du Cadran on Arc day last season and has also won this trial twice in recent years. He'd have a better chance today if the ground dried out and VADAMAR makes more appeal. A fast-finishing fourth behind Joshua Tree over 1m7f at Deauville last month after losing his place early in the straight, first-time blinkers should bring a more immediate response and he can take this. Ivory Land and Usuelo have been taking it turns to beat each other over C&D and Lone Ranger had a few of these behind when scoring at Deauville in July. Electrolyser was fourth in the Goodwood Cup last month but Godolphin's recent Ebor hero, Willing Foe, is of more interest stepping up in trip as the five-year-old looks to be still improving.
