        Verdict

        The imperious GOLDIKOVA was better than ever last season recording another five Group 1 victories bringing her tally to 12. She made a winning reappearance in this contest last year when beating today's rival Byword and a similar outcome is expected here, but it's worth remembering she was beaten in this race on soft ground in 2009, so hopefully Longchamp hasn't overdone the watering. Stablemate Rajsaman beat Byword in a Group 2 race at Saint-Cloud three weeks ago but the latter can reverse running today, while the English challenge is led by Dick Turpin, who found Freddie Head's superstar too good over 7f at this track last October. Earl Of Sefton winner Ransom Note will be hoping to make the frame but it will be surprise if he's good enough to win.
