Frederic Rossi supplemented the unbeaten La Peinture for this Oaks trial on Thursday and it's not difficult to see why. She had Aigue Marine behind at Toulouse last time and beat Crecy in a Listed event at Saint-Cloud before that when Trois Lunes was runner-up. The latter went on to Group 3 success at this track with Prima Noa back in third and SAGAWARA a close-up second. Alain De Royer-Dupre's filly doesn't have to find much improvement to come out best here, however, and the Chantilly-based trainer won this with subsequent French Oaks heroine Sarafina in 2010. Rjwa and Crecy are closely matched on latest running and Pretty Please had Hasna a neck behind at Chantilly last time.
