Verdict

Chieftain's Choice made a solid enough start over fences at Southwell but doesn’t really have a chasing pedigree and was rated lower than CHITU over timber. Patrick Griffin’s Ayr winner was just beaten under a penalty here in June and looks likely to pick up the winning thread again with Rendezvous Peak having his sixth start over the larger obstacles and his first since December.
