Verdict

Lagan Canal showed enough at Kelso last month to suggest he can win a race like this but Donald McCain's debutant Vasco Pierji might be suited more a searching test of stamina. Knockturnal is nothing special but LUCKY G is worth a second look. A four-year-old won this last year and Keith Dalgleish's Celtic Swing filly is a full sister to Honourable Knight, who has won up to 2m on the Flat - she gets a tentative vote.
