In depth

Verdict

Caius Marcius has the edge in experience over his main rivals and hacked up at Sedgefield last time in what represented an easy task. He is progressing well but GLOBAL JACKPOT put together an impressive novice hurdle campaign last term and was not beaten at all far on chasing debut in April. He's disappointed since but that run was too bad to be true and is worth another chance in receipt of 6lb from the penalised Richards charge. Nietzsche is a fascinating recruit to fences as he was good enough to win the Greatwood Hurdle at Cheltenham in November and has every chance if transferring that level of ability to larger obstacles.
