Verdict
Charlie Crab, Ben Britten and Glen Rouge make the shortlist here, with Charlie Crab taken to make up for a last time out disappointment. A solid second at Market Rasen before falling when still well there next time, Glen Rouge has strong claims here and can go well. Three time winner Ben Britten was a disappointment in Ireland last time, but had been a decisive winner before that. He handles quick and soft ground, but may just be a touch high in the weights and is passed over. Charlie Crab, a bumper winner, won a small contest on soft ground before being run out of it on a quicker surface at Aintree after a lay off. He would like some rain, but he nonetheless looks less exposed than his rivals, and Charlie Crab looks capable of recovering losses here.
