Verdict
A race full of ifs and buts and Comfortable Call is only selected above Shaffishays and Hardi De Chalamont on the grounds of anticipated improvement. The Nashwan gelding took well to hurdles at a modest level last term, but has improved of late and comes into the race with his confidence high after landing a seller at market Rasen last month. He should improve over further in time but has enough scope to get the better of his elder rivals this evening. It is interesting that Songino has been persevered with and money for him after a long lay-off could be significant.
