In depth

Verdict

A tough race to call here for punters with very little between many of the leasing lights but the principals look to be Carapuce, Catch The Perk and Leo McGarry with the narrow nomination given to Carapuce. The selection won well last time out when beating Great Approach and although having a penalty for that win he looks progressive and if there was more rain his chance would look even more solid. Catch The Perk has the ability to win off this mark but he often drops himself out before running on and with this in mind he can not be put forward with much confidence. Leo McGarry is another that could go well but he ran as if not seeing out this trip when fifth behind Lothian Falcon last time and he is another to oppose. Of the remainder, Le Marquis is from a shrewd Irish yard and is worth a look in the market, while Baileys Encore could improve for this longer trip but his overall profile leaves him with a little to find and for the winner we return to Carapuce.
