Verdict
Broughtons Star has twice made the frame in similar events this summer but has yet to win over hurdles in 16 attempts. Green Zone is in good heart and won well here earlier this month but is better suited by a stiffer test of stamina. MEADOWCROFT BOY was last seen being pulled up over course and distance in the spring, but he has been campaigned at a much higher level and this looks like a good opportunity to exploit a handy mark. Tekthelot drops back in trip after struggling over 2m4f here and can make the frame, while Newstart was arguably unlucky not to win a seller at Uttoxeter last time and also has place claims along with Civil Unrest, who won a Sedgefield handicap when last seen over hurdles.
