    Verdict

    Blue Comet came good over hurdles last summer at Market Rasen, rattling up a hat-trick. But he is still rated 23lb inferior to JACKS LAST HOPE (NAP) over the smaller obstacles and Chris Grant’s nine-year-old has the benefit of previous experience over fences having finished second to the useful Cobra De Mai at Sedgefield in the autumn over a trip too short. The latter should go one better today having had a recent spin over timber. Fly Rory Fly has only been placed in four runs over fences and never threatened here last month.
