In depth

Verdict

STROBE was scoring for the first time in two years when beating Silver Steel by eight lengths at Bangor last month. The runner-up is 9lb better off here so, in theory, has every chance of reversing the form but he's on an even longer losing run so we'll stick with Lucy Normile's charge who can also get the better of recent C&D second The Paddy Premium and Crackerjack Lad, who fell at the last when leading the latter's latest race and will be bidding for compensation. Strathaird could be well handicapped but needs to step up on this season's three runs.
