Verdict
Always Flying, Gabor and Talarive look the main contenders here with the vote going to the last named. Talarive has been in great form this season winning at Wetherby back in May in similar company to this. He did look very ordinary on his last run at the end of May when down the field in selling company. He has since had a break and looks a horse best when fresh so is given the nod. Gabor was claimed at Newton Abbott last month when finishing a good second. He is not the most fluent of jumpers though and needs strong handling and as he is amateur ridden he is to be treated with caution. Always Flying ran well until being headed at Uttoxeter last time out so is another to consider but for the winner we return to Talarive.
