In depth
Verdict
The Philip Hobbs-trained Limerick Leader has won his last two starts, latterly in a handicap at Bangor, and has to be respected but he faces no easy task in a decent contest today and preference is for the progressive Monet's Garden. The selection has already won over a similar trip, on his hurdling debut, at Kelso and followed up over 2m4f at Carlisle on his next start. The son of Roselier lost no caste in defeat behind the useful Garde Champetre at Aintree last time and, back up in trip today, Monet's Garden gets the vote. The Nigel Twiston-Davies-trained Ollie Magern notched up a hat trick of successes earlier in the campaign but has been found wanting in better company since, while Howrwenow is probably flattered by his proximity to Fundamentalist at Kempton last time. No Picnic looks to be out of his depth in a race that is taken to go to Monet's Garden.
