Verdict
A decent end to the card and this looks between Bob's Gone, Forever Eyesofblue, Gargoyle Girl and Old Feathers, with the vote going to Forever Eyesofblue. The selection was in cracking form when last on the racecourse in the spring, landing a course and distance win on soft and then following up on good ground at Hexham. A 22lb rise for those successes will not make it easy, but conditions and track clearly suit and he still had the look of a progressive sort last time so he may well be capable of defying the weight and winning. If he doesn't, then Old Feathers could take advantage. Jonjo O'Neill's charge was galvanised by first time blinkers and A P McCoy's drive last time, and if they both work their magic again then he looks booked for another big run over this trip. Gargoyle Girl should have too much in reserve for Bob's Gone judged on their recent form over 2m 5f here, but the former has to prove she gets this longer trip, while the latter still just looks anchored by a big enough weight. All that leads us back to Forever Eyesofblue, who looks just about up to it here.
