In depth

Verdict

Helen Wood and Prince Tam are worth considering with their yard's in form but preference is for ANNIBALE CARO who appears to be the pick of Jim Goldie's pair. The trainer of the selection is also responsible for Regent's Secret whose sole success over fences came over course and distance from the useful Pigeon Island; that rather flattered him but the return to racing on better ground will suit. Annibale Caro hasn't run over fences since 2007 so has a little to prove in that respect but he's a capable individual with relatively few miles on the clock and comes into the race on the back of a good run over hurdles. Helen Wood ran on well to win a selling hurdle at Newton Abbot and she has won over fences back in 2007 when there was a little cut in the ground and is fairly treated on her return to the larger obstacles whilst Prince Tam is still a maiden but hails from a yard in form. Coach Lane is running well at present whilst All For The Cause may be able to reach the frame again but preference is for Annibale Caro.
